Hey, what's going on everybody?

Welcome in all my fellow deer hunters as we are back from deer camp.

A nice long extended weekend in northern Michigan.

It was wintery. We had good weather, temperatures down

to one morning. A camp near us said they recorded two below. The coldest we recorded at our camp

was two degrees Saturday morning. And cold and snowy for the extended stay.

But for the most part, the weather was great, as was camp.

We had one of the nicest deer camps that I can ever remember.

That comment was made. Multiple people had said that. We had an

outstanding crew of guys together this year with opening day falling on a Friday. It really made

for, I guess, a weekend that everybody, you know, it was easy for people to schedule,

take a day off and have a long weekend, opening day on Friday, and then have Saturday and

Sunday, talk to a few guys and it said that would be cool if they did that, you know, every

year if our opener instead of being on the 15th was, you know, the Friday, the closest Friday to the 15th, be it what the second, you know, Friday every November or however would fall similar to the way they do Thanksgiving on the same day.

It would be, it would be really nice to have that.

There was as many deer hunters in the woods around us as I ever remember seeing.

The heritage of deer hunting, gun hunting, opening day in northern Michigan is alive and strong man our camp showed up and then

you know i guess uh pros and cons right uh there was a lot of areas that guys i didn't have an issue

personally but definitely ran into some other hunters and it caused some confusion and added a fair amount of challenge
