This is the art of Catholic.

About 28 years ago, I found myself as a new Catholic looking down at a glass case on

the incrab body of a small man in South Eastern France.

I barely knew anything about this saint, and I wasn't even particularly interested

as I was extremely tired from travel,

and still acclimating to this very foreign world

of Catholic saint veneration.

But over the next few years, my appreciation

of this barely five foot mountain of a man

grew exponentially.

This guy was an absolute powerhouse

whose humility and love radically transform

an entire country. And the ripple effect of his passion for Christ and his

passion for the souls of all people continues to this day across the world. And

I'm talking of course about the Curé of ours, Saint John Viennye. And in this

episode of The Art of Catholic, I'm interviewing author Kevin Wells, who's

written a very unusual and powerful book about the

curae that really pricked my conscience in many regards and served my heart to seek the Lord with

more abandon. Because the curae isn't the patron saint of priests for nothing. This guy was an
