Good morning. This is Carrie Green from LiveBuild Change.

And it's time for the morning mindset. I hope you are ready to start your day off right and I do mean right.

It's not like there's a variety of things that can be part of a successful morning to do Christianity right. You really

need to start your day with your mind in the right place.

And that means thinking truthfully according to what God says is true.

And so what I'm going to do today is bring up a topic that you hear a lot these days. You see it on

social media and you have people promoting it in this certain kind of verbiage and

I want to approach it from a different perspective

than you typically hear a biblical perspective and here is the issue. You

often hear people say,

Be you, be yourself, that's what you need to do.

And I totally agree with that. If what you mean by that is you should be who God has

created you to be. Now the work comes for us in understanding exactly what that means.

Because we all are in a habit of defining ourselves by a number of things that are not actually accurate gauges of who God has

really made us to be. Here's a few examples. Oftentimes we define ourselves by what we feel. So if we're feeling moody or down or

insecure, we tend to think of ourselves as an insecure person.

When the facts of the matter are that God in his word says that all who are in Christ are new creations, the old has gone and the new has come.

You now live in a place of confidence and competence because the Holy Spirit of God lives in you.

That's who you are.

And so when you hear those people saying, be you should think immediately yes I want to be who

God's made me to be it's this confident competent active person in the world who moves forward from an attitude of faith in what

God has said about me, not driven by emotion of how I feel any given day. Do you see that difference? Here's another
