debt and save more money. Today I want to talk about dealing with downs,

dealing with the downs. Everybody has them. If you aren't ever down, you don't comprehend what it's like to be on the flip

side, to be on the up. And that's kind of the yin and yang of things with budgeting when you're attacking your

finances where some event took place that kind of pushed you over the edge that

had you kind of raise your eyebrows and nod affirmatively that you did indeed need a

budget. So you were excited, you got started, you devoured our support materials, you ended up really just drinking the

cool aid, so to speak.

And things were going really, really well, swimmingly well.

And then, I don't know, the AC went out,

it was the middle of July.

The heaters fried, the dishwasher is making a really strange noise, the fridge is doing this weird squeak.

I'm talking about my own fridge right now and my own dishwasher.

One of your kids through one of these Halloween kind of slimy things up on the wall in the

dining room and it stayed up there all day and the next morning you pulled it off and the wallpaper that was up in the dining room that looked really nice suddenly has this big blotch on it.

That kind of stuff happens or maybe everything's going swimmingly well and then you go

downstairs to the guest bedroom to just close the door and something bright pink catches your eye on the floor so

you kind of walk around and look inside the closet where the pink is coming from

and it's not a little cute pink dress or anything else

that's pink and cute from your little two-year-old it's the fact that your two-year-old

found a big bottle of paint and poured it all over the carpet in your yes

bedroom and did it so long ago that there is no chance for any kind of affixing, cleaning, removal.
