Well, hello there, top teachers. We are your host, Bridget Spackman and Michelle Emerson,

0:05.5

and we are here to make your life easier by helping you master your time, organization,

0:10.6

and productivity as a teacher. We've talked a lot about routines on this podcast,

0:15.7

and we've shared morning routines, evening routines, and even some lesson planning routines. But today, we're going

0:22.9

to take it a step further and share the best monthly routine to stay on track. But first, let's start

0:29.0

with a TSAH or time-sucking hurdle from a top teacher. This top teacher says, I always start the

0:35.3

year off doing so good. I'm on my game with my lesson plans

0:39.1

and evaluations and grades, but for some reason at midterm break, I just can't seem to get back

0:44.9

on track with everything. I always find myself struggling to finish a lesson plan, grade students

0:49.7

work, and submit grades on time. Yeah, top teacher, I think a lot of other teachers out there feel the

1:02.9

like everything that's going on, you start to get overwhelmed, you get a little bit off track.

1:07.9

And so my biggest recommendation is to just have a complete reset of everything.

1:14.9

And this is where I take a total day where I just look at my calendar, I look at my lessons,

1:21.3

and I just try to map out as much as possible. And that gives me a little bit of this kind of

1:27.2

restart. It's like the beginning

1:29.1

of the year, like a restart to it. Yeah, honestly, this reminds me, I relate everything to fitness,

1:34.5

but I think there are a lot of parallels. When you've been going to the gym for a long time doing

1:39.4

the same workout, it eventually gets the point where your motivation just isn't there. And we've talked a lot about

1:44.7

motivation versus discipline. However, there is something to be said about motivation. So I would even

1:50.5

say, like, find something to motivate you. So whether you're going to plan like a really fun

1:55.6

lesson that's kind of different than what you would typically do or you plan a reward for yourself after you get,
