0:00.0	Hi everyone. I hope you're all doing so well and welcome back to the criminal makeup podcast. Each episode, we dive into the minds of some of the worst criminals in history.
0:19.1	And today's case that we are covering has to be the worst mother and daughter duo I have ever come across.
0:25.8	Because the mother, a woman called Diane Stouty and her daughter, Rachel, they were described as two peas in a pod.
0:33.0	They did absolutely everything together. They were inseparable.
0:36.6	And even though Diane had a husband and three
0:38.9	other children, Rachel was her favourite. Nothing could come between Diane and her daughter Rachel.
0:44.8	And then all of a sudden, literally out of nowhere, lots of strange and mysterious things started
0:50.9	happening in the household, some strange illnesses and some suspicious deaths.
0:57.3	And Diane was so detached, she was so cold and calculated. These illnesses and deaths,
1:04.2	they didn't really seem to affect her. She didn't even seem bothered at all, that people in her
1:09.4	family were literally dropping dead. And no one knew what was
1:12.6	behind all of these strange illnesses and suspicious deaths. I mean, was it Diane? Was it
1:17.9	the daughter Rachel? Was it somebody else? Or was it just a strange coincidence? This is a very
1:22.9	strange case indeed. And that is what we are going to be talking about today. So let's jump in.
1:39.3	Okay. case indeed and that is what we are going to be talking about today so let's jump in Diane was born on the 5th of April 1962 making her an Ares and she was born in Springfield, Missouri where she grew up with her parents, we don't know too much about Diane's childhood.
1:45.6	We know that her parents were pretty religious. The family attended church regularly.
1:50.4	And we know that Diane was really into music. Like, that was her passion. She started playing
1:55.1	piano at the age of three. She grew up wanting to work in the healthcare industry. She eventually
2:00.8	did go to college and get her degree in nursing.
2:03.8	And that is kind of all we know about Diane's childhood and her upbringing,
2:07.5	everything like that, so not pretty much.
2:09.4	And then we skip forward to 1984.
