Summary

Tips for Parents of LGBTQ+ Youth.

On The HEAL BLOG right now 18 Signs You May Be Depressed

Dr Lu Lu spoke with her father as a young child and told him she liked girls.  Her father told her this was just a phase and she would get over it.  Dr Lu Lu went on to get married and have a family and it wasn’t until her marriage ended in divorce that she took the opportunity to explore this part of her sexuality. Dr Lu Lu’s child went to Stanford and Dr Lu Lu heard the pronouns they/them for the very first time referencing her own child at the Graduation Ceremony. Dr Lu Lu struggled to understand what this meant for her child and to accept it and she realised if she struggled with this concept as an LGBTQ+ herself, many parents would also be struggling. Dr Lu Lu is an award-winning LGBTQ+ educator and she is teaching parents who are struggling with accepting their LGBTQ+ child what are the steps they need to take towards becoming the parent their LGBTQ+ child needs.  You can find Dr Lu Lu HERE and you can get her 7 Mistakes Parents Make Even When They Want to Accept, Affirm & Support Their LGBTQ+ Children.
