Today I'm very excited to bring to you an illustrious panel of people whom I very much admire

to discuss the topic of raising children in the LDS Church when the parents are either semi-believers or unorthodox,

or even in some cases non-believers.

That's the topic for today, and I have with us three very special guests.

My first guest is Lee White, hello Lee.

Good evening.

I also have with us Heather Olson-Beele, hi Heather.

And my good friend Laurie Gallagher, hi Laurie.

Hey there.

All right, so to begin with, I think it makes sense for each of us to kind of briefly explain where we're coming from.

I think my audience pretty much knows where I'm coming from, but I'll just state it for the record.

I consider myself to be a believer, but in a very general sense, kind of a unitarian universalist and kind of a pragmatist when it comes to Mormon doctrine and theology and stuff.

But I'm definitely active in church.

I believe that inspiration happens in the church.

And my wife and I are definitely raising our children in the church.

So that's where I come from.

And why don't we just go around the horn, maybe starting with Heather.

Maybe each of you could just talk a little about yourself.
