I need you to hear that sometimes the perspective you need is a perspective you can't get to on your

own. I mean, this is true for me. And realizing it has made such a difference in my growth and in my consistency and in my problem solving

and making sure that I don't stay in a struggle for a second longer than I need to.

The awareness that often the perspective I need is one I can't get to on my own.

It's true when I work with clients.

my marriage as an example because sometimes it's easier to see things when it's not something

that we feel personally connected to, maybe defensive of or resistant to. When Chris and I are in a

conflict, sometimes all I can see is my own anger or my own viewpoint.

And there is a healthier perspective available to me.
