So our brain has to decide what do we keep and what do we dump, right?

And, you know, the things that we need to keep, obviously, are things that keep us alive, you know, lead to outcomes that make us happy or allow us to function.

And so there's, I don't think there's any reason to think that a dog's memory in those circumstances would be different from our memory, right, in those circumstances.
