I'm having someone over. I'm having someone over. What does that mean?

That means I'm having a guest to my house. Yes, I'm having a guest to my house. Perhaps for dinner,

perhaps overnight. Maybe it's my mother. Maybe it's my neighbor. It could be my friend

from elementary school. Who knows? But the important thing is it means you are having a guest

visit your house and that means you're busy.

So this is a great excuse that you can use if you want to avoid dinner with somebody.
