It is Monday, September 30th, the eve of opening day of archery season here in the state of Michigan.

So this will be the last podcast that we put out before in real time. season is open so just want to hit a couple

quick things before we get into today's episode it's gonna work out just absolutely

perfect the episode that I'm publishing here that you're gonna hear is a conversation

that I recorded at our deer camp here a couple weeks ago. It is the

final installment of our road trip up to northern Michigan. Ryan and Drew and I scouted all day

and then finally got back to camp as it was getting dark. We got a really nice campfire going,

had a couple drinks, and we're able

to sit down and discuss basically our scouting efforts for the day, some projections of things

that we saw and looking into, you know, when we get to get up north to deer hunt here for archery

and then for firearm. So it really just worked out great

that this is the podcast that we're publishing here for opening day we'll call it because

that that conversation that camaraderie that campfire that whole deal is what's the most important

for me during deer season is being able to have the time set aside to do that,

to spend the time with friends and family and kind of disconnect from work a little bit.

And I value that time a ton every year.

I can tell right now that I really need it. So as I sat home today, I'm awfully sick. I've been working a lot of hours and just going hard and finally caught up with me. I think I've slept 16 and a half out of the last 24 hours. Just got sick this Saturday and working on shaking it out so that I can get back to
