Hello and welcome to the show I'm Stuart Goldsmith and today this is the charming

and very funny May Martin who was one of the later recordings of the show at

the Edinburgh Festival this year

recorded live at Black Medicine on Nicholson Street lovely little coffee shop.

So this one I was going to release later I know I promised you Matt Lucas this week

but I've bussed him a week back

and brought the May Martin episode a week forward because she has got a run at the

invisible dot in Kings Cross in London which begins on September the 21st and I'm very

keen for as many of you as possible to see it.

I absolutely loved her show as you'll hear I saw her doing a work in progress show at

Edinburgh in 2014 and she took a lot of that material on and then brought it back.

Is it a really interesting way to do it?

I mean, maybe we should all be doing it that way round and that might take the

pressure off, give us two years to write a show, we spend a bit of time on it and make it as good as May made hers.
