this is Tommy Tiernan long regarded as one of Ireland's finest comic exports, and at

this year's Edinburgh festival, Tommy, as you'll hear, was doing an extraordinary comic experiment.

He was improvising an hour every night.

I won't tell you any more about that

because we're just about to talk about it.

But it was one of the most enthralling hours of comedy,

comedy question mark I think I've ever seen.

It was a genuinely engaging and invigorating and completely absorbing hour with a good amount of laughs in it
