the changing freelance economy, and more. To help me discuss these topics, I'd like to welcome Jeff

Wald, co-founder of work market, and an entrepreneur, author, and speaker. Jeff, welcome to the show.

Great. Well, yeah, let's start off by talking about an area that you and I share some experience

in the freelance economy. Can you talk a little bit about your card about it?

Oh, I've heard it. Right, right. Spent a little time on that, right?

So talk a little bit about your company work market. It was acquired by ADP in 2018.

What did it teach you about the freelance economy? What did you learn from that experience?

Wow, I mean, we may need a couple hours for that. Let's start with this. Work market is

enterprise software that enables companies to organize, manage, and pay their on-demand workforce.

We raised about 70 million from Union Square Venture Softbank, and as you mentioned,

we sold the company to ADP. Here's what I learned. I learned that the compliance components

of the freelance engagement model are incredibly important to companies.
