Swaray. It is a party to remember with the summer season officially kicking off.

Let's have a little fun today. Let's investigate. On November 28, 1966, over 500 of the most glamorous and famous people, arrived at the grand ballroom of the plaza hotel

for Truman Capote's black and white ball. It has been written about and described countless

times in different ways, but most often referred to as the party of the century. This elegant

and glittering masquerade ball was given in honor of Catherine Graham, but no one really believed it was for her.

Everyone knew that Truman threw this elaborate party that would go down in history all for himself.

The black and white ball symbolized the pinnacle of his prestige, social status, and glory.

He will never again be viewed with the same respect,

prestige, or love as he was that night. But, alas, for the night of November 28, 1966,

Truman Capote was the undisputed star. Y'all, 55 years later, we're still talking about this party. Lots of notable names

on the invitation list. There's paragraphs here, but let me give you some of the highlights.
