Now that you're calm and relaxed, our journey on Bali begins.

Beaches, rice fields, and peaks of active volcanoes cover the busy island of Bali, just eight

degrees south of the equator.

Heat, rain, and snow blanket different sections of the diverse region.

From the highest peak where the frost sets in, down to the hot and humid valleys below,

an island so small, yet big in the scale of diversity and beauty, this volcanic island

is a small province of Indonesia, between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and its western

most island of the Lester Sunda Islands, an archipelago formed by a chain of volcanoes,

millions of years ago.

The island was first inhabited over 4,000 years ago, by Austro-Nesian people, originally

from Taiwan.

Over the ages, Bali has become a tourism hub for its incredible sights, and diverse range

of animals, and warm weather year round.
