I'm in a sound booth at Crossway where I work. And so this is not my home. And I'm just so impressed with the vocal quality here. It makes me sound like Darth Vader. Less villainous. I think, well, maybe good Darth Vader, you know, after the fact. But like a lot of power. Yeah. Yes. Yes, the dark side. Beth, how are you this morning? I'm doing well. Thank you. Glad to be here. All right. Our listeners are eager to know about you guys. So would you all each just take a second to introduce yourselves to our listeners and tell us about what you do and who you are? Well, I am in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. We just, we moved here in

2025 from the Dallas area, which is where home was for our entire lives. And we are

enjoying the four seasons here, actual four seasons in North Carolina. It's amazing.

I'm actually the executive director at Bridge Haven

Counseling Associates, which is a nonprofit counseling ministry in the Raleigh-Durham area.

And that's the reason that we move to North Carolina. I also have a long history of doing

church-based ministry, but I am a licensed counselor by trade. And that is what I love doing and love being able to talk to kids, families, individuals,

young and old about the concept of suffering, which is part of what led me to move towards

this book that I got to write.

My husband Kenny is here with me, and we have three

kiddos. Two are grown, and one is 15. So we are still in the throes of parenthood. Awesome. Thank you.

So I have never lived in the state of Texas. So maybe I should say I'm ashamed to say, right? But my dad's

family is from Texas, just northwest of Dallas, Fort Worth. So there's roots there. Okay, so can I still be on the podcast? Yes. You're still on. Okay. Mute is Mike.
