Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to talk about the Bible.

My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful, godly wife Lacey,

and our two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Serenity.

All right.

Well, today we are going to continue our journey through the book of Galatians.

So just very brief recap, catching us up to speed.

So what's happening here is that there are multiple churches in the region of Galatia,

multiple gatherings of Jesus followers.

And into these churches have crept false teachers that are basically preaching a works-based

righteousness, where it's like Jesus plus observance to the law of Moses,

where it's just faith in Jesus is not enough to be in right standing with God. It's not enough

to be at peace with God. It is. You need to add these other things to it. And so we see that

Paul has been addressing this head on pretty much right out the gate as soon as he

finishes his introduction to the beginning of chapter one he hits the ground running really hard

he gives the example of Titus gives the example of the interaction with Peter and we've discussed

that stuff at length and so we could say that the book of Galatians is a hard knock against legalistic tendencies within us.

It is a hard stroke against the sort of thinking that would be, oh man, in order to keep

God happy with me, I need to do blank.

In order to be right with God, I need to do blank.

And the legalism that would stem from that.

Again, we've talked about all this stuff in great detail up until now.
