Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories Podcast. I'm your host John DeLin.

It is October 6, 2020 and this is a special edition of Mormon Stories Podcast.

Things have gotten really serious as of late. Some of you know that recently an organization

0:22.0

called Fair Mormon, which is an apologist, non-profit, has hired a few actors to create some YouTube

0:30.7

videos and some podcasts to try and defend and protect the Mormon Church. And these videos

0:39.9

and podcasts have been very controversial. They're more edgy. They're more fun, but they're also

0:45.3

harsher and the result has been a lot of frustration by some and in some cases anger because

0:58.4

in some senses many people feel that these videos or podcasts are misleading. We're not going to

demeaning language towards certain people and in some cases have led to a lot of reactions

that have been perceived as violent. And in my particular case I've recently had people

posting some very violent videos on Twitter and elsewhere and some very very dangerous

1:48.4

also statements on Twitter and elsewhere. And so I've filed police reports after today. I'm

1:56.5

also going to be talking to the FBI because these comments made on Twitter and these videos posted

2:02.8

on Twitter that have been reposted by people affiliated with Fair Mormon. Because of sort of

2:13.2

the way that things have escalated in a violent way, I'm going to be reporting this to the FBI

2:18.8

as I've already reported it to local police departments. I know Jeremy Reynolds has also filed

2:25.6

I believe a report with the police. You'll have to give me I'm feeling a little bit nervous and

2:30.4

so I'm a little bit jumbled and rambly this morning. But so what I wanted to do was put together

2:39.1

a presentation with my friend Harado trying to make sense of what's going on. And so I appreciate

2:46.3

everyone who's joining us today. Originally I was so angry and so sad and so frustrated that I
