Recently I was super fortunate to sit down with reality tv stars Heather Gay and Dre Nord - who are both currently appearing on BravoTV's "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City."

In this two-part series, we focus on Heather and Dre's experiences as Mormons. Topics covered in today's episode include:

Heather and Dre's early years as devout Mormons.
Dre's marriage, divorce, and faith crisis as a Mormon in her early 20s.
Heather's experiences at BYU and serving an LDS mission in France.
Heather's somewhat challenging efforts to find a faithful Mormon husband (Billy Gay).
Heather also provides glimpses into her emerging Mormon faith crisis, which she is currently in the middle of processing.

0:44.4	Both. Both. Yeah, usually both. He's a little for sure. No, so I'm going to be honest. I, this is my
0:52.2	first Real Housewives experience in my life that I hope you guys don't are mad at me. John, it's
0:58.5	mine too. It's really? Yeah. Mine too actually. It's the first real housewives I've ever done.
1:05.2	Yeah, I've never seen before. But we're four seasons, four episodes into the season. And it's a show.
1:14.0	For those of you who don't know Real Housewives, we'll talk about it. But it's a show where they
1:19.2	pick around six housewives and they just it's kind of reality TV free for all. A lot of fun,
1:28.0	a lot of interesting personalities, a little bit of drama. Is that fair to say? Yeah, oh yeah. And
1:35.1	covering a lot of really real and important themes. And it turns out I have a personal connection
1:40.8	to some members of the cast this year. And I won't give any spoilers away. But I've watched four
1:46.3	episodes. The fifth episode is coming soon. And it's it's going to be dealing with, you know, there
1:54.4	are the real Housewives of Salt Lake has several either current or former members of the LDS
2:00.9	Church, along with some people who have never been born in before. But all of them right now
2:05.6	are living in Salt Lake City. And it's it's kind of a little bit different for Salt Lake City. And
2:12.0	it's different for the LDS Church to be profiled in this way. And so we are not going to be focusing
2:18.2	on the actual show today. We're going to be focusing on the stories of Heather Gay and Drey Nord.
2:26.6	Heather is one of the six, you know, Real Housewives. And then they're allowed to bring on their friends.
