uncomfortable, but it could change a lot. There is a line that I have been using with myself

that has been game-changing, even though it stings. I tell myself, you're not overwhelmed, you're being undisciplined.

Now, I'm going to clarify what that can look like because it doesn't necessarily mean I'm

being lazy.

This is a phrase I've come back to again and again, less as a criticism and more as an invitation.

And I want to walk you through why, especially at this holiday season, we are very prone to

overwhelm and it can sidetrack us, derail us, discourage us, and absolutely kill any and all energy that we might otherwise have.

So here's how this came up for me. You might have heard before that I'm in a defensive

cohort right now where I'm walking through with 20 people creating their personal defensive playbooks.

And one of the things I'm doing in this cohort that I'll probably continue to do moving forward

because I think it's just really neat. I'm creating my own defensive playbook as they create

theirs and I've opened mine up for everybody in the group to see. And so it's been helpful to me in doing this and creating this defensive playbook to start
