It also could be because it's like a million degrees every day right now. I don't come at me. Arizona is going to come into the comments and be like, oh, actually in Arizona it's 200 degrees, which is just a little bit hotter than there, but I don't want to hear it.

1:21.0

Listen, I don't want to hear it. Let me be hot. I had this weird sort of realization this morning. I don't know if it's healthy, but I was just kind of anxious and in my head about whatever. Nothing really.

I was recently visiting my mom and came across some articles she had kept that are from the town in which she grew up. Since I know you like all things graveyard, I thought you might enjoy the following. And before I get into this, Gene is amazing. She texts me when her and her husband and when they're driving and they like listen to the podcast. And I'm just like, I love that you're listening.

So it goes on to say in Talbot County, Maryland, lies the ruins of the white marsh church with its moss-grown graves surrounding as there is no marsh near Talbot County being strangely free from even sea marshes.

2:59.0

It is not known why it was called the white marsh church, but such is the name handed down of this ancient church. A strange story is told.

3:09.0

It was the year 1711 and the Reverend Mr. Maynardir was the rector of white marsh church. The rector was an old brick mansion on a farm, a mile distant from the church.

3:21.0

The story is that the rector's wife died and her last wish was that she be buried with a valuable family ring upon her finger. It was customary in those days to bury a body without removing the jewelry that they had worn in life.

3:35.0

What if the jewelry sucked that what if it was like a Mickey Mouse watch? And then you're just like, I don't know, they just bury you with that.

3:43.0

Two strangers who had attended the funeral observed this valuable ring and were determined to secure it that night.

3:49.0

Uh oh. So they went to the old church yard digging into the grave, they removed the coffin, broke it open, and attempted to take the ring off the woman's finger.

3:58.0

4:14.0

What? Tradition does not say what became of those two grave ghouls, but it is hoped that the fright they received turned them from their evil ways.

4:24.0
