💬 Episode Overview:

After years away from hosting in-person events, I finally gathered with an intimate group of women from The Consistency Course — and what unfolded was deeper, more transformational, and more real than I could’ve imagined.

In this episode, I’m walking you through the most powerful workshop exercise we did — the one that opened eyes, hearts, and sparked real change.
It was the moment everything clicked for so many of us.

And the best part? You don’t need to have been in the room to experience its impact.

🔑 In This Episode:

  • The card exercise that revealed the cost of our excuses

  • Why “good enough” is sometimes just a comfortable cage

  • The difference between working in your life vs. on your life

  • Why you might be clinging to your “red shovel” without realizing it

  • How vulnerability + community = acceleration

💥 Want to build real momentum — and finally stop starting over?

Most people focus on offense — plans, goals, strategies. Defense is what keeps it all from collapsing. It’s how you show up when it’s hard, inconvenient, or not working, and it’s the reason real change lasts.

Consistent, a podcast by Primal Potential that is for all of you who feel frustrated by your lack of

0:13.3

progress or overwhelmed by all the change that you want to make in your life. Here, we stop frantically

chasing new habits and start

0:22.6

strategically building a structure of consistency. Let's get into it. Hello, everybody.

0:31.1

Welcome back to the Primal Potential Podcast. I am Elizabeth Benton. I've been really looking forward

0:36.5

to getting back behind the mic. I was away

0:40.1

for a couple of days doing something I haven't done in a long time. And I just couldn't wait to

0:46.7

share a couple of parts and pieces of it with you. So from when I started my business in 2014, up until about 2019, I was regularly

0:58.6

hosting live events. And certainly a lot of things changed in the world to pull people

1:03.0

away from live events. But for me, the last live event that I did until this past weekend

1:09.1

was when I was pregnant with Dagny. And so then,

1:13.3

of course, Dagny died and I got pregnant with Roman and then the twins. And so understandably,

1:17.8

I stepped back. Life changed. I had more to manage and just less time flexibility. Didn't want to be

1:24.5

away from my kids. But this past weekend, I finally, at long last,

1:31.6

hosted another live event in Boston exclusively for members of the consistency course.

1:36.8

And holy moly, I'm just so glad I did it. But first, I have to tell you, as an introvert leading up to events, I'm like,

1:46.3

ugh. You know, there's part of me that's like, it's different and I get to see my clients,

1:51.4

and that's always so special, and I know that it's special. But the introvert part of me,

1:56.0

as well as just the part of me that's like, it's a lot of work to not just record a podcast

2:00.5

episode or go

2:01.2

live on a webinar, but do hours and hours and hours of content that needs to feel not only
