Summary

It happened. It really happened. After YEARS of writing it down in my Start Today Journal, I got the call that I would speak on Oprah's stage. If you've been following me for any amount of time, you know what this meant to me. And, wild as it may sound, the lessons I learned from preparing, to traveling, to walking out on that stage, no one was prepared for. This episode, I'm here to share the real story behind my meeting with Oprah, and how I left that day feeling stronger than ever about what I was put on this earth to do. -- Are you ready to put the lessons from this podcast into ACTION! Our next women's conference is coming to Toronto on March 5-7th, and it promises to be a LIFE-CHANGER! What can you expect by coming to a RISE conference? Expect to be energized and motivated. Expect to cry and make new friends (fun fact: most of our attendees come alone - but they don't leave that way). that I've been building and scaling my company I have become deeply

0:21.6

be sharing tangible and tactical advice and inspiring interviews with the same

One of the craziest things in my life happened last weekend. Was that last weekend?

0:47.9

I guess it was last weekend. No, two weekends ago and it feels like it needs a

0:53.5

podcast episode. So this is what I learned from meeting Oprah Winfrey. Please

1:04.1

play some kind of music here, make it sound like a whole thing. What a crazy

1:10.2

experience you guys. If you are not familiar, if you don't follow me on social,

1:14.6

first of all, what? You are missing such good pictures. But also let me tell you

1:22.1

the story. Gosh, when did this all begin? So in the middle of 2019, I made a

1:30.1

decision that I would no longer speak on other people's stages unless it was

1:37.3

like my friend. Like I made the decision that if my community wanted to see me

1:41.9

speak, they could come to a Rise Conference. Rise Conference, we have two

1:47.3

different kinds. We have our women's conference and our business conference. So I

1:50.1

felt like we were covering the bases and I knew that it meant that I wasn't

1:55.7

going to be able to meet as many of you or hug your necks or sign as many books.

1:59.6

But it did mean that I would be able to be home with my family more, which is
