1:16.1 | your husband has an emergency surgery. Or maybe something less significant, but the |
1:22.9 | water pipes froze overnight and you have no water. Or the kids got sick in the night. |
1:29.6 | And of course, unexpected bad news can come in many forms. The offer on your house fell |
1:36.1 | through. Your flight home was canceled. You miscarried again. Your husband lost his job |
1:44.0 | or you lost a loved one. In all these cases, we sometimes wonder what it is that God is |
1:51.1 | trying to tell us. Once when I had an unexpected trouble, I asked my husband how he thought |
1:58.1 | I should interpret the event. What is God saying to me in this? And he answered me very |
2:04.6 | wisely. He said, this is a summons to trust. And this makes so much sense because it's |
2:11.5 | totally consistent with God's character. This unexpected event was not unexpected to God. |
2:19.6 | He knew exactly when it was coming and it was right on time. And so this event is a summons, |
2:28.2 | a message, a call. And what is a message? Well, he's saying to me specifically in this |
