Summary

In this podcast episode, I will discuss the idea of Emotional Enlightenment and what that means for me. We often find ourselves seeking certain emotions and avoiding other emotions. I've found that by giving all my emotions a sense of equanimity, I've found a tremendous sense of peace.

1:03.7	I want to share a few thoughts about the Zen Kowan that I shared at the end of the last podcast episode.
1:10.7	So the Zen Kowan I shared goes like this.
1:13.5	Once Matsu and Paichang were walking along and they saw some wild ducks fly by.
1:20.7	What is that the master asked wild ducks by Chang replied where have they gone?
1:26.7	They flown away.
1:27.9	Paichang said the master then twisted Paichang's nose and when Paichang cried out in pain,
1:34.1	Matsu said when have they ever flown away?
1:39.3	Now this is a fun another fun Zen Kowan in that it does the same thing.
1:45.3	Most Zen Kowans do it presents you with a little story and kind of leads you thinking like,
1:49.9	huh, what is that all about?
