I'm thrilled to be here.

Well, I'm thrilled to have you here. So let's

figure it out here. You were growing up in Boston, but then you moved to Michigan. We moved to the suburbs of

Detroit, which was nothing like New England and was quite a culture shock.

Yeah, I was 11.

How did you fit in there? I mean, what did your parents do to kind of set the scene?

Well, I didn't fit in well with the kids at school.

I'd never met kids like that.

But what they did do that made everything better

was bought a piece of property with a barn.

Oh, okay.

And for the first time in my life, I had horses of my own and was able to ride.

Because that's like every girl's dream.

It's every girl's dream.

I mean, even some dudes, I think I wanted a pony at some time. I always say I want a pony. I still want a

pony. Yeah yeah actually yeah I got some I got some room in this studio apartment I can just get rid of this couch I see exactly where the

ponies so how many horses did you have over the years I had quite a few but the main gang was a beautiful Pinto named Injunjo who I took over from a riding stable where he had gone crazy so I rescued him and he and I were fast friends for a long time.
