Hello everyone. I hope you've enjoyed the last six special episodes of the Squiggly Careers podcast to celebrate and champion International Women's Day.

This is the final one in our series and in this episode I'll be talking to Cajal Adedra and Lauren Bravo.

These are two women who I was really keen to talk to because I think

they are both changing the world and they are also helping us to do a better job of changing

the world too. So first you'll hear me talk to Cajal and she is the director of change.org

which I'm sure is an organisation lots of you will be familiar with. You've perhaps maybe

you've started a petition or perhaps you've signed a petition. And whether you're a campaigner or not,

what Kajel talks about so passionately and eloquently is this idea that we can all be

activists. And she is incredibly smart and switched on.

And then I'm delighted that we could end the series by chatting to Lauren Bravo,

who is the author of a book called How to Break Up with Fast Fashion.

I think the fast fashion industry, we probably intuitively know,

has detrimental impact on both kind of human and environmental well-being. But perhaps

it's one of those problems that feels so big and overwhelming, it's tricky to know what any of us

can do about it. And what I love about Lauren and the research and writing that she's done is,

yes, she doesn't hide away from those big problems, but also she does bring it back to the

practical realities of what we can all do day to day. So actually the two interviews really segue

nicely because the first with Cajal is much more about making change and why that's important.

And then I think Lauren talks about a specific area that I'm sure lots of people listening

will be really interested and intrigued to know how they can do things differently to have a positive impact on the world.
