And guess what?

I'm here on an in-between week.

You've probably become accustomed to our Surf News episodes every two weeks that I co-host with Scott Bass.

That's not exactly how this show started out.

It started out doing that every two weeks, but then the alternating weeks were long-form

interviews, profile pieces with surfboard shapers, photographers, filmmakers, publishers,

authors, professional surfers, basically all sorts of different industry leaders, movers and shakers in the surf world.

And that's a passion project of mine.

I like the long form interview.

I like the podcast platform.

I think it's perfect for long form interview.

But I've fallen away from doing it just because life has gotten busy.

But I'm bringing it back.

So thrilled to be back.

And also thrilled to have this particular guest, Matt Parker, who, uh, has a company,

surfboard company, is a surfboard shaper.

He has a brand called album surfboards. You probably

follow them on Instagram. Really, really incredible work. And comes from an unlikely background
