Hey, what's up?

Welcome back to the show, David Scales, your host of Surf Splendor.

Man, it's been a little while since I've chatted with you. But I was in Costa Rica,

obviously, as was discussed prior to my leaving. And you'll hear it a lot in this show.

Actually, Scott and I discuss it a little bit. But yeah, glad to be back three weeks or so.

And it feels good to sleep in my own bed and surf a little bit more

moderately temperatureed waters a little cooler water feels good actually never thought i'd say that

growing up i thought warm water was always better turns out everybody it's not a little refreshing

chill to the water here in southern california for Southern California, but much cooler than Costa Rica.

Anyway, enough about water temperature.

Surf News with Scott Bass.

In this episode, you hear him mention at one point that we're going to have the gentleman

that own and run sustainable surf on the show, later in the show. That's not true. We did

interview them after this episode of Surf News, but that'll come in a later episode. We decided

that this episode is kind of a standalone, and then that should be a standalone as well.

So ignore Scott. He's often wrong, as you know, and look forward to that

at a future date. But enjoy this episode. There's so much that happened in the time that I was gone.

Crocodile attack, obviously, down there while I was there. But then the U.S. Open, the Padang

Cup, Olympics, surfing being But then the U.S. Open, the Padang Cup,

Olympics,

surfing being admitted into the Olympics for 2020.

So much to discuss.
