Welcome back. We are taking a look at episode three, season two of the Rings of Power.

0:19.9

This is Tom or Robots as usual. I hope you've

0:22.3

been enjoying these extra episodes. I decided clearly to start talking about each of these

0:29.0

episodes one by one and kind of putting them into the feed a little bit extra. This one is taking

0:34.6

the place of one of the normal episodes. Normally I'd be talking about The Hobbit right now, but I decided, you know what, let's catch up. Let's get it up to speed

0:41.5

with all three episodes so that we can then talk about episode four later this week, because

0:45.9

that will have been out by now. And I haven't seen that yet. So this is all takes on episode

0:51.3

three before seeing the rest of the season. So some of my predictions might be wrong and we're just going to have to find out how that goes.

0:59.5

So this episode, and just to remind you, I'm not going to go every scene by scene, but I'm going to point out the things that I think are most interesting to me about this episode.

1:08.6

1:17.6

a foreshadowing, maybe, to some of the events that we see in the Peter Jackson films.

1:23.3

And if you remember, Aragorn was able to calm down Brego.

1:29.4

I believe that Brego was the name of the horse.

1:31.4

And that was attributed to the fact that he came from this.

1:36.8

Well, both he was raised by the elves, so he understood how to interact with nature and animals in a way that many men didn't.

1:43.1

But he also came from this royal bloodline.

1:46.2

What royal bloodline does he come from? Well, the two characters that we see are interacting with this

1:51.7

horse, Elendale and Isildur. So it makes sense that we get these echoes or foreshadows of the horse thing with Aragorn.

2:03.6

And in the movie version of the events, the horse pulls Aragorn out of the river and saves

2:10.4

his life.

2:11.0

Now, that doesn't happen in the books.
