It's not the first time, and it? It's not the first time and it will not be the last. This week on the show,

we are continuing our journey through the wastelands, book three of the Dark Tower. This week,

we're on chapter three, door and demon. The first half of the wastelands culminates in a two-part

quest to draw the boy Jake into Roland's world. We meet a young Eddie and Henry, fight a monster,

and a demon, and admire Eddie's drawing skills as Jake finally joins the content. Matt, what did you think about this

week's reading? I mean, it was great. It was very action-packed, right? Like most of this book

has, like, we started out with the bear, which was awesome, but it was actually fairly brief,

like it was over pretty quickly. This is just a great long buildup where you sort of know

there's an action scene coming just based on how the story is rearranging around this

impending moment, and then it delivers on it really amazingly well.

One of the things that occurred to me this read through was that this could be the

conclusion of a full novel at the end of this part.

And I wouldn't feel like I was robbed of a complete story.
