All right, here we go. Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast.

What do we got here? Friday. It is the 24th of January. We are deep in the heart of winter.

It's extra wintry out here. It's studio here coming to you from

northern Michigan. We've had single digits and I feel like snow for 10 days. It just continues

to pick up. We've been shoveling morning afternoon and night here for about a week and we love it.

If we didn't, we wouldn't live here i love winter

i love this time of year being outside of here people you know really fretting this time of year

and hate january and february oh man you got to get out do more things in the outdoors i don't the

ice is ice reports are looking good we've had a couple bum years for ice fishing

here in Michigan, and I think all through the Midwest, the last couple years, you know,

above average winter temperatures, kept a lot of people off, a lot of ice, but we're freezing

up real good here. And so the fishing conditions are going to be good and there'll be

no no excuses for sitting inside poutin when the uh when the hard water gets situated and the lakes get

all locked up i myself plan on getting out here in the next couple days it sounds like maybe after

some rainbow trout some perch some walleye who knows maybe some crapp trout, some perch, some walleye.

Who knows?

Maybe some crappies, maybe some gills.

I'll love me some walleye.

So we'll be trying to get into some cold water walleye here in the coming days.
