When someone refuses to bow their knee to the cultural god or gods, others tend to follow.

And that's exactly what's been happening in the world of professional hockey.

So it all started back in January when Ivan Provirov, a defenseman for the Philadelphia Flyers,

decided that he was not going to join his team in the warm-ups

while they wore pride-themed jerseys and wrapped their hockey sticks in rainbow-colored

tape. So after some significant backlash, his team and the NHL actually stood by him.

And since then, entire teams have opted to not wear the Pride Jersey.

So what does this all mean?
