My name is Christian Keeter and I live in the southeast of the United States of America with my amazing, beautiful, godly wife Lacey,

All right, guys, well, let me begin today just by sharing a little bit of a personal story.

So, like everybody, I came into my relationship with Jesus with some baggage.

None of us enters our relationship with him as a blank

slate. Every single one of us has some sort of history or prior experiences and things like that

before we come to know him. And this is the case because none of us are born as Jesus followers.

None of us are Jesus followers from birth. We may have grown up

in a home where following Jesus was modeled and our parents might have been following Jesus,

perhaps our entire lives, but that does not immediately transfer over and mean that we have

been Christian since birth. And this is actually why I get a

little bit, sometimes I can be a little troubled when I hear people say things like, well, I've

always been a Christian. And I'm thinking, no, no one has always been a Christian. Every single one of us

had a period of time where we were not following him and then we encountered him and began to follow

him. And so that's why I actually will use the phrase sometimes that I'm talking to people.

I'll say, how long have you been following Jesus, as opposed to just saying, how long have

you been a Christian?

Because when we hear the word Christian, sometimes we just think, well, how long have I

agreed with in my head the facts of the gospel? But when we ask the question, how long have you

been following Jesus? That implies activity, devotion, and allegiance to Jesus, which is what's
