Summary
129 Pilot examiner Jason Blair gives Max a mock IFR checkride and asks him typical checkride questions. This is also a great review for instrument rated pilots! Max pretends to have brought a Cessna 172/G1000 to the checkride. They talk about required documents, instrument currency, aircraft systems, instrument rules and regulations, and how to brief an approach.

And I say, well, yeah, well, but you weren't PIC on the initial cross-countrys you did that were dual until you did them solo and we'll end up

0:27.1

really quick gotcha and just make sure you got that 50 that's actually PIC cross-country time

towards an instrument rating. That's pilot examiner Jason Blair talking.

In a moment, he'll be giving me a mock instrument check ride,

which would help both pilots who are working on their instrument rating,

as well as pilots who already have a rating and would like to do some review.
