1:07.4 | independence is the ability to be able to make your own decisions. |
1:12.2 | And this can be a tricky time in families because there is the desire for independence, |
1:18.2 | but you still live at home and you don't quite have that authority over your own independence. |
1:24.5 | And your decisions and your wants and your desires, they don't always line up. |
1:30.1 | A lot of times in your teen years, they don't always line up with the wishes of our parents |
1:35.7 | or whoever is in charge of you. |

1:38.5 | And then sometimes to make it even more tricky, the people who are in charge of you, |

1:44.9 | for you. So I just remember constantly fighting with my mom in high school and then her and my |

1:54.9 | the two things we fought about most were my curfew. And we could never agree on what outfits |
