If you want to achieve financial independence, if you want to have control of your time so that

you have money working for you instead of you working for money, it's a big ambition for a lot of us.

If you want to disconnect the need to work for money so that you can work for joy and work for

purpose and meaning, and maybe it makes a little bit of money still, but you don't have to worry about

selling out your time for the top dollar.

The key here is that you have to, if you're starting on the left side as an E or a S, which most of us do,

you've got to figure out how to get to the right side.

This is going to be a solo episode on an interview this week. In my world right now, this is the time of year, late summer, when I am actually doing a lot of bookkeeping, put my head down and reviewing,

if you believe it or not, 2019 for tax returns. Seems a little bit late. We file an extension every year. Most of the books we

have are the bookkeeping is done at the end of last year, but there's always a little bit of cleanup.

There's a few things to do to get it and present it to our CPA to file the tax return. And I just

found the summertime is a nice time to do that. It's a little bit quieter right after we get some tenants moved in in early August. This is the time of year to do it.

So with all that being said, I have been focusing on income, thinking about income taxes and

thinking about where income comes from. And it reminded me of one of the biggest paradigm shifts
