meeting him. But Dr. Joel Beakey, thank you so much for joining us today on the Family Discipleship podcast. Great to be with you, Adam. Well, for those of you who aren't familiar with Dr. Beakey, or Dr. Beakey, would you mind maybe telling us a little about you? Tell us about your family. tell us about your ministry. Yeah, okay. I'm a husband of the world's

most wonderful woman, Mary. I love my wife like crazy. We're blessed with three wonderful

children and they all have blessed marriages. So we're loaded with blessings, and we have 11 precious grandchildren.

I'm also a pastor in the Heritage Reform Churches, and I've been in my present charge for

39 years. Wow. And started ministering, I was ordained, I guess it's now 48 years ago.

I served a church in Iowa and one in New Jersey.

And now I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the last almost four decades.

But my main role in my work is I've been president of the seminary,

Peeratrain Farm Seminary in Grand Rapids for, I don't know, 28, 29 years.

I told him I would serve as president until I was 70, and I'm now 72.

Two years ago, they appointed the vice president, Dr. Neely, Adrian Neely, to be president.

I'm now chancellor, but I'm still a full-time professor here, and just love the work here.

And so we've grown. I was the founder of the seminary with my denomination
