We go down probably, I don't know,

half a dozen, maybe a dozen rabbit holes.

Everything from air quality to really understanding what, I mean, I'd say what makes us tick in this

building industry. It was a good podcast it really was.

You made a relationship to the ancient pyramids and how they passively heated.

Why today is that, why does it seem so far-fetched?

Like everything has been simplified into these systems

and we're not wherein we really could be designing

a home that doesn't need these elaborate systems.

Well, I mean, there's a bunch of reasons why. So first, you know, we can't utilize some of those for air quality reasons,

buildings are tight, you know, so if you've got, you know, you can't have open combustion gases

flowing up through a building, you know, if it was leaky and it was designed, you know,

back in the day, yeah, you know, you could do something like that that but so for air sealing reasons for

efficiency reasons for safety reasons for precision reasons you know for

all these reasons I I think the old ways of heating are probably not good enough but there's things

that we can take from those systems back in the day you know know, that we can use, you know, conceptually.

It's also like houses are some certain towns are really congested, so how you position a house isn't always
