Today we're speaking to a member of the US military who has just been in Afghanistan helping to get Afghans out and various other people now that the US has lost the

war and the Taliban has taken over there. Now this lad is not really meant to be doing this so we're not going to name him

but rest assured I have triple checked this guy is who he says he is he was there on

the ground what he's got to say is interesting. The narrative is a little bit different to what we've been

But without revealing too much, maybe just explain what you've been doing in Afghanistan for

the last few weeks.

So my job there was to provide support in a variety of ways.

There's some systems that they need to get up.

So I did that.

In addition to some combat enabler stuff.

It's basically force protection. That's the best way to sum things up.

So I was there on a force protection capacity.

Got you, got you.

And as a soldier, maybe just kind of tell us what sort of things you

were actually seeing out there that was the thing I've been in for a couple years now. This was my first deployment.

If we want to call it that, it was definitely interesting.

When we got there, on the way there actually the bird there was much of Air Force special operations guys
