We get questions about this all the time about what constitutes mortal sin. How will I know if I'm in the state of mortal sin?

We get it on the one hand dismissively. Sometimes people are like, oh, you know, the Catholics with all your mortal sins.

And we didn't talk with Tom the first hour about the biblical roots of this understanding of sin that is deadly.
