Summary

A common question I get is, "How can we let go of the negative self talk or that inner critic?" I really resonate with this question, as I used to suffer from it on a daily basis, BUT I found out how to stop it and I want to share how YOU can stop it too!

Negative self talk and limiting thoughts are easy stopped when we know how the brain works. When we tap into the self talk, we can let go of the negative emotions, limiting beliefs and also the behaviours.

Because that can happen sometimes. We can, in our mind, I think, well, I really want this and that niggling doubt just kind of keeps going, well, can you do this?

go of it. It can take time as always, but it's really about becoming a one with yourself. Because

0:45.9

if you could consciously change, you would. You would have made that decision, you were let

go of that voice already. Now, if you cannot let it go, it just means your unconscious mind is running

0:56.0

that internal dialogue, because you're not controlling it, it's just your unconscious mind. And

1:01.9

as you consider your unconscious mind, why would it do such a thing? Why would it say, well,

1:06.5

what if this happens, or, oh, the future's bleak, or whatever it may be, why would your unconscious

1:13.1

mind do that? Now, my philosophy is that your unconscious mind wants the best for you, but its

1:21.2

behaviour is not so good. It's like a young child sometimes. It's trying to do good things, but the behavior, the end

1:28.7

outcome, not always the best.

1:30.9

It's not always like the best way of being.

1:33.2

Because it's just misguided.

1:35.2

It hasn't got enough information or learnings or ideas or how to do something differently.

1:40.1

So when it comes to that internal voice, my internal dialogue, that internal battle, here's what I do.

1:47.9

Now, since your unconscious mind is running that voice, we need to connect more with your unconscious mind.

1:54.4

And I actually do this in a way where I consider the intention or the, yeah, the intention or the purpose as to why it's doing what it's doing.

2:05.6

Now, if it was something like, oh, let's think of a good one, maybe I'm not good enough, or it could be saying, oh, you're not good enough to do that.
