| 0:15.0 | This week is the week of Thanksgiving this coming Thursday in the United States where I live. |
| 0:27.8 | And so we are doing a gratitude meditation |
| 0:37.0 | techniques you can do as you meditate and as you go triggered by stress, so these are techniques for you to do on your meditation cushion as well as when you're going about your busy day. |
| 1:00.1 | The meditation technique for today is an affirmation. |
| 1:04.8 | An affirmation is a way you focus your thoughts on a particular emotion or feeling you want to feel. |
| 1:17.0 | And you repeat a statement, a short concise statement, that has meaning to you, and you repeat |
| 1:30.3 | it as often as you can. |
| 1:33.4 | Throughout your day, in the morning, |
| 1:36.0 | when you first wake up, and in the evening, |
| 1:39.6 | when you go to bed at night, |
| 1:41.4 | those are powerful times to repeat an affirmation. |

| 1:47.0 | Before I guide you through the affirmation, |
| 1:51.0 | I want to mention something about how you feel and experience gratitude. |
| 2:05.0 | And this is important because in your challenge for this week, I challenge you to start your day and end your day with gratitude. |
| 2:20.7 | With selecting three things as you start your day and three things as you enter |
| 2:27.2 | day that have to do with you feeling gratitude. |
| 2:36.9 | And one of the best ways to do that is |
| 2:39.8 | to be very specific in what you're grateful for. |
