What happens when your Mom was never given nurturing, love or care, because her mother passed at a young age? What happens when your Dad grew up in an authoritarian household where kids didn’t have a voice and must follow all the rules? The combined trauma from each of those family lines will be passed down to you because your mother and father were unaware of their trauma or the effect it would have on you. And their inability to acknowledge or express emotions becomes your emotional neglect. You will carry grief and abandonment. You may be a people pleaser and have low self worth. You may experience depression or a feeling of being stuck.
