Welcome back to The Incomparable podcast.

This is Jason Snell, your host, and I am convening this edition of The Incomparable to be a comic book club.

So we're going to talk about a comic book club.

We're not going to talk about ourselves.

We're going to talk about a comic.

And what I'd like to do is see if we can pick something that's available in a trade paperback.

So if you're not somebody who haunts your local comic shop every week, that's okay.

You can run out and get the trade paper back and read it.

And it's just like a book club except it's got pictures.

You see, that's the difference.

And that makes a comic book club.

And our selection for this edition of Comic book club is something called Lock and Key.

And joining me to talk about Lock and Key, which is a series, but it's not an open-ended series.

It's a closed-ended series, and we're going to talk primarily about the first volume,

and then we'll progress from there a little bit. Fire off the spoiler horn when necessary.
