On Saturday night, they had an auction at the Catholic Answers annual conference,

and the auction of Joe Hashmire to come to your parish anywhere in the country and give a talk,

or me, Cy Kellett, to come to your parish anywhere in the country and give a talk.

I went for the astonishingly high number of $3,000.

Someone paid $3,000 for me to come to their parish in Oregon.

It turned out to be in Oregon at some point.

I will agree that that is astonishingly high.

That's an astonishingly, especially if you know me. That's an astonishingly high number. And then Joe got auctioned off, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000. I quit at 5,000. You know what? I'm just going to say you're using passive voice here. Who was auctioning me up? Maybe you're just a better auctioneer. I only got, I got to 5 grand and I quit. When I saw that you had already at the beginning gone two grand higher than me, I quit. So you had to auction yourself off. I was so mad. You did, you strummed off the stage. You got us, about halfway there. Yeah, and then they ended up at 12 grand for Joe.

So Joe is going to Texas, I think. Is that where you're going? You're going to Texas. You're going to Texas. I'm going to Oregon. And we're very grateful to the people who bid. But I was deeply hurt. I wept for the entire night. I didn't sleep at all.
