1:04.5 | So the premise of the book was that as the reader, you got to decide what you wanted to do. |
1:11.6 | Usually reading is kind of a passive experience, right? We have to go where the author wants to take us. |
1:18.0 | The author has made all the decisions for us before we even picked up the book, and we're just along for the ride. |
1:24.0 | But in a Choose Your Own Adventure book, |
1:27.0 | there were actually multiple different books that you could end up reading |

1:32.0 | So let me explain how it worked if you don't know what I'm talking about. |

1:40.6 | get to a page where it would say something like to go deeper into the forest with Sam, |
1:45.6 | turn to page 74, to turn around and get in the boat and cross the lake with Jane instead, |
