I really appreciate the folks of The Attitude magazine inviting me to speak today and so I'm hoping to have an opportunity to talk to

to talk to everybody about some very practical kinds of things that we would like

to have them come away with around using screen time with kids with ADHD and

particularly around doing homework.

What I'd like to do is just tell you a little about myself and how I got to this area. I am a child neuropsychologist working

with kids with ADHD for about 30 years as the clinical director of South County Child and Family Consultants.

work as a psychologist I've seen lots of kids who love technology kids with ADHD

who just seem to flourish when they're in front of a screen

They love it they get engaged with it they many of the parents will tell me things like oh my kid my kid couldn't have ADHD, you should see him play a video game.

So I got really interested in what that was all about and began to at the same time began to look into how kids might be using a number of executive functioning skills when they were playing
